Club Leader

Salary: up to £30K FT equivalent (dependent on qualifications/ experience)
Part-time: Part-time- most hours during term-time with some during school holidays (to be discussed)
Location: Milton Keynes
Start date: ASAP

Ride High needs a new club leader. Are you the person we’re looking for?

The Ride High charity has been supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children of Milton Keynes for 16 years, growing from the early days with three young people to recent annual membership of over two hundred. We moved to our own premises in Loughton in 2018 and are going from strength to strength.

The Children’s Team includes people from youth work and education backgrounds, with experience in schools and informal learning environments, youth clubs, immigration centres and other settings. We’d like to find someone who has experience engaging with, encouraging and nurturing children and young people in any environment; someone who will increase our range of skills and enable us to expand our programme in new directions.

Every day is different: it’s hard work that stretches us and needs us to be inventive, but the rewards are enormous. The progress we see in our members and the pleasure they get from attending are fantastic. We are a supportive team and this is an interesting and varied role. The club leaders’ input is essential to the impact Ride High has on its members.

So, if you have experience working with young people, especially those who are particularly vulnerable or disadvantaged, an enthusiasm for outdoor and informal learning and you enjoy working in a busy, stimulating environment this could be for you.

Ride High is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This includes throughout the recruitment process and through the entirety of the employment. An enhanced DBS check will be required for all employees.
