Ride MK Cycling Festival

Date: Sunday 29th June 2025

Location: TBC

Our first Ride MK Cycling Festival will take place in June 2025. Jump in your saddle and conquer one of our ‘cycling city’s’ four routes, designed to be accessible to a range of ages, abilities and experiences.

Ride MK is a fundraising event organised by Ride High. Participants are required to ‘Gear up and give’ raising money to help our work supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children in our community.

Choose from one of our four carefully planned routes: 100 Mile Road Route, 50 Mile Road Route, 25 Mile Red Route or 1 mile Ready Set Go route specifically for children. All participants will receive a medal in recognition of their achievement.

Milton Keynes with its huge expanse of parkland, over 200 miles of redways and beautiful canal paths is the perfect place for a cycling festival that will encourage fun, fitness and fundraising.

The event will start and finish at XXXX where they’ll also be a festival for participants and spectators alike to enjoy.

About the routes

Start time: 7AM

The 100-mile route heads west out of Milton Keynes through a series of attractive villages as it passes south of Buckingham and north of Bicester. The ride then heads into the beautiful Cotswold countryside passing through some of the iconic and well know Cotswold villages and towns. The second half of the route passes through charming countryside and villages heading past Banbury and through Silverstone, the legendary home of the British Grand Prix, before returning to Milton Keynes. Best described as an undulating route with an elevation of 5,299 feet with the more challenging climbs in the Cotswold but you are easily distracted by some wonderful views! Time on busy roads has been minimised with the majority of the ride on smaller, quieter roads.

The route will not be marshalled or signed so you will need to ride with your own on bike navigation (routes will be provided for this) or with someone who has it. There is however the option to join a guided group led by an experienced cyclist.

There will be two Ride High manned energy zones supplying refreshments on the route. A roaming First Aid team will be available in case of emergencies.
