Ride High is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Bishop as its new Chair of Trustees.

Ian has extensive commercial experience in a variety of industries from retail to professional sport. He is a seasoned non-executive board member who advises businesses to help them realise their full potential. He also has substantial fundraising experience having previously worked with a number of children’s charities and Cancer Research.

Ian’s arrival coincides with the appointment of Olivia Sugdon – Ride High’s new CEO, recently replacing Founder Rachel Medill MBE who established the charity back in 2008. In the last decade the charity has grown to provide an essential and unique support service to disadvantaged children. Ian will now support Olivia and the team to build on its success, and to expand to meet the growing needs for services for children and young people within Milton Keynes.

Ian Bishop said: “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Chair. Ride High is a fantastic charity and it’s absolutely remarkable what it has achieved to date. The need for increased services to support the health and mental wellbeing of children is widely known, and I look forward to sharing my experience and insight to help Ride High to continue to grow to help these young people find a brighter future”.

Olivia Sugdon, CEO at Ride High, said “We are excited to welcome Ian to Ride High to support the next phase of the charity’s development. He brings with him invaluable experience and expertise that will help us to shape our future and ensure that we are still changing young lives for the better for many years to come”.
