Ride High, a Milton Keynes-based charity supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children, is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Santander Cycles MK for the Ride MK Cycling Festival on Sunday, June 29, 2025. This year, participants will have the opportunity to ride Santander Cycles MK’s e-bikes for free on the 20-mile red route, offering a more accessible option for cyclists of all abilities.

The Ride MK Cycling Festival, set against the backdrop of Milton Keynes’ stunning parkland, redways, and canal paths, invites individuals, families, friends and co-workers to join a day of cycling, fitness, and fundraising, all in support of local children. The festival will feature four thoughtfully curated routes:

  • 100 Mile Road Route
  • 50 Mile Road Route
  • 20 Mile Red Route – sponsored by Santander Cycles MK
  • 1.6 Mile Ready Set Go Route (for children) – sponsored by Brioche Pasquier UK

Thanks to the new partnership with Santander Cycles MK, participants on the 20-mile red route will have the opportunity to apply for a free e-bike, making it easier for anyone to join the challenge, regardless of cycling experience. Whether you’re new to cycling or prefer the extra boost of an e-bike, Santander’s support ensures that everyone can enjoy the route with confidence.

“We’re excited to welcome Santander Cycles MK as sponsor of the Ride MK Cycling Festival,” said Helen Dixon, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Ride High. “This partnership allows us to offer a more inclusive experience and brings the joy of cycling to even more participants, whether they’re experienced cyclists or beginners. It’s a wonderful addition to our fundraising efforts and we’re grateful for Santander’s support in helping us raise vital funds for local children.”

Siobhan Beddow, Senior Sponsorship Manager at Santander UK said “We are really excited to be supporting this years Ride MK Festival. Being involved with initiatives like this where we can give back to the community of Milton Keynes is a great privilege and something we’re very proud of. Good luck to everyone taking part!”

The Ride MK Cycling Festival (also sponsored by Santander Cycles MK) will start and finish at Furzton Lake, where both cyclists and spectators can enjoy a festive atmosphere. Each participant will receive a medal in recognition of their achievement. The event is not only about cycling but also about making a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children, as participants are encouraged to raise funds to support Ride High’s work with local children.

Registration for Ride MK is now open, and individuals and teams are encouraged to sign up early. A guided group led by an experienced cyclist will also be available for those who prefer to ride with company. Join us for a day of fitness, fun, and fundraising for a great cause.
