Ride High announces new chair of Trustees

We are delighted to announce that Ride High has recently appointed Tim Raper as its new Chair.

Tim was a practising solicitor and spent the majority of his career with a City law firm, Charles Russell Speechlys. He was on the board of the firm for about 25 years. Other than his management role Tim specialised in the construction and engineering sector, being involved in projects in the UK and throughout the world.

Tim has lived with his family in Milton Keynes for around 30 years. He has many interests and passions including photography and cooking, but since retiring in 2018 he is using his professional experience to support local causes to make a positive impact in his home town. Already a Parish Councillor and a governor at Eversholt School, Tim joins Ride High at an important chapter in its history, as the charity is looking to grow to help even more vulnerable children, and to expand beyond Milton Keynes.

Tim said “I am extremely impressed by the impact Ride High has had on thousands of young lives in Milton Keynes. The charity has achieved so much in 11 years, but has exciting aspirations to help even more children to thrive, and to extend its unique support beyond the city. I am looking forward to working with the trustees and team at Ride High to help them achieve this”.

Olivia Sugdon, CEO at Ride High, said “We are delighted to welcome Tim to the team. He joins us at a challenging time, but with his expertise and support I am confident that Ride High will continue to go from strength to strength and to transform thousands more young lives in the future”.

We’d like to thank our previous Chair of Trustees Ian Bishop.
