Host a ‘wear purple for Ride High’ event at your school or place of work and help us to transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
We are asking your team or school to wear purple for the day as part of our campaign to help raise the vital funds needed to support our service. By wearing purple you will also be helping us raise awareness of Ride High and of the important work we do.
As a school why not make your non-uniform day purple themed or at work ask the office to wear purple… a simple way to give back and raise money for a good cause.
Ride High uses horses to connect with children who are living in challenging circumstances. 80% of the children referred to us suffer with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and self-harm. The children follow a programme of structured learning which includes riding and caring for the horses, and associated educational and creative projects in our clubroom and garden. Our unique programme empowers our members to develop new skills, to increase their confidence, self-esteem and to build greater resilience to change negative mindsets and challenging behaviours. 120 children attend the programme on a weekly basis, they are offered free transport to and from site and receive a meal whilst here.
Ride High receives no government funding, and is free to all children, therefore donations and fundraising efforts from those in the community are essential; it costs £1,500 per child’s place per term.
Get involved and host a ‘wear purple for Ride High’ event raising funds for children attending the programme. Donations can be collected via cash or through setting up your own gofundme page. Our Challenge Fundraising Guide will help guide you through setting up your page and provides tips on how to use it to increase your fundraising.
